Football, 7 and a Little Shower

So Thursday evening I made it to Missouri just in time to watch Grandson Masons football practice.
First I saw Levi.  How can you not be excited about seeing that face!

Little bit later, Mason and his buddy Cody came over for a drink break.

And they needed it!  Look at that sweaty face.

Back at the house I spotted this little labor of love that
Marcus made for Kate.
Adorable!!

Friday night we celebrated Masons 7th Birthday.
I know,  it doesnt seem possible.

First  were the presents.

Then we all sat in line and waited.

Waited to get some of this Army cake.

This soon to be  A Mama Again wasnt feeling great but
brought Miss Priss (a.k.a Harper) to the party.

So she could have cake with us

 And get some hugs

Saturday morning it was shower time.
Baby shower that is.
Harper was practicing her big sistering by
helping Kennedy with her binky.

Miss Kennedy was dressed for the party!

Just check out this spread.  Yummy!

Here is the first of many gifts.

Siblings

Last weekend I made a very short trip down south.
I had a lot of things to do and not a lot time to get it all done.
Lots of things were happening last weekend
Pictures were taken.  LOTS of pictures!
I think it will be best if I just post them in groups so lets start with
some pics that were taken on Saturday.
The sibling pictures.
It wasn't easy.
Quit goofing off!

Most of us were looking the wrong way

Eyes open Chris

Let me fix your hair

Steven, too statuesque!

I think this is as good as we are going to get.

Visitors

As most of you know, I had company last week.  I was expecting my daughter, her two boys, my mom and my nephew to come visiting. When my daughter walked in the house she had a bundle all wrapped in a blanket.  I honestly thought it was a puppy or something along that nature.  I said "Oh God, what is that ? !"   She unwrapped my sweet granddaughter, Kennedy.  What a surprise. Then in walked my little brother, Chris.  Two great surprises!!  We had a busy week and there were lots of pictures so bare with me.
This was the arrival.

Levi checked out the chair I bought at an auction that was just his size

Mason and Garrett were glad to finally get here.

 There was lots of visiting

 and smiling

and homework and crocheting.

Lots of homework!

Some snuggling

 More smiling

and some movie watching.

One day I loaded up the boys and took them to the auction barn.  Papa was leading them out to the pens.

The were checking out the pig

And watching the calves come in.

Then they climbed up to the top and watched them come through the ring.

The next morning they got up and painted

and painted some more

What beautiful art.

The boys were growing crystals in a tray.

Then we started cooking. We gathered the ingredients.

Started mixing.

 and viola

One day we made noodles.  Yum!
( Isnt Mason quite the poser)

Chris even got in on it and grilled us some steaks and chicken.

Then we got out the box and started making a fort.

It was fun!

There was lots of decorating and it was so many things!
It was a house, a restaurant, a post office, a jail and

for one of them,  a bed.

There was quite a bit of lap sitting, and holding too,

One in particular got passed

and passed

and passed around

Playing was hard work and we were tired.
So we slept.

and slept

Some

more

Than others
