A Very Few Christmas Things.

So we went to Missouri to spend Christmas time with some family and friends.  I spent hours making sure I had everything packed.  Presents, candy, clothes, coats, gloves, hats, two extra pair of shoes ( you just never know).  When Superman got home from work, we loaded up and hit the road.  While driving through Minnesota we passed some ski slopes and I was thinking " That would make a great winter picture"  Well, it would if I hadnt forgotten to pack my camera!  So, just a little fore warning for these low quality photos,  they were all taken with my phone. And there is no rhyme or reason for them.  I missed about a hundred "perfect" photo opportunities of memories being made but this is what I got.

Here are some ornaments I made with the glitter on the inside.  No mess.  :)
They got sent to my sisters family

Along with this group of her kids initials.

This is the first batch of goodies I made this year.
It went to my brother in Omaha.

Here is my sweet niece playing with her Peek a Boo Baby.
And yes, you do see a hint of a ponytail on top of her head.

Here are the newlyweds after church.
Aren't they cute!

Little Gene Kelly's first Christmas.
We did get some smiles from him.

Next are a few photos of a pendant I made out of silver with a little assistance from my father.
(Thanks for letting me use your tools and stuff)
In the beginning.

 It's getting there

Winter Weekend

Last Sunday, when I woke up, Superman was outside shoveling the sidewalk
  .

So I locked the dogs in the house and went out to take a few pictures.
Looks like gardening is over for the year.  Who am I kidding!  I didn't garden at ALL.

 No more swinging.
I did swing. And read. And drank my soda. And had a snack. And talked on the phone. And napped.
Such a multipurpose place

Okay, so we can probably still keep our drinks cool.  No problem.
But pretty sure grilling is over.

Then we drove to the Olsen's for breakfast.
Here was Preston helping his Daddy clear snow.
(Yes, his hat is pink. He is borrowing it)

Hailey was her usual laid back self.

 Raquel had BIG news.
She lost her first tooth.

 We had biscuits.

 Mmmmm and gravy.

Then we went to the Olsen Farm to get our tractor and drive it home.
Brrrrrr

On the way we saw lots of buggys.

When we got home. After the driveway was plowed.
Mike went to his favorite place. (On top of the fridge)
And took a nap.

I took a nap too.  Not on the fridge.  In my comfy bed.
And Superman went to the tower to hunt.

Lots of Faces

In the last week or so we were lots of places and saw lots of faces.
So, on this eve of Thanksgiving I am going to share a plethora of photos with you.
Yes they were all taken by me and no they are most likely not in chronological order.
Lets just start this show with some pure sweetness for the beginning of the holiday season.
This is my niece Hailey.  I was babysitting her and she was taking a nap.
Okay, well she did take a short nap until I came in with my camera.

We went to Missouri so the guys could deer hunt.
More importantly on the way we spotted a bunch of Eagles near the rode in a field.
Luckily for me, I was driving at the time and my camera was with in arms reach in the back seat.
And luckily for everyone else, there was no one behind me on the highway. That could have been bad. I probably would have seen a lot more birds of a different kind.
Anyway, here are some of the birdies.

 Flying

 Flying

 And flying

Here is my blue eyed boy and his beautiful wife and their baby, Cocoa.
He doesn't always have that scowl on his face.  Only when I get my camera out and point it his direction.

And we got to see my daughter and most of our grandsons.  Isn't Levi adorable.
Yes he had been crying if you want to know. His mommy got out of his sight for a minute.

And Mator Salad.  Thats not really his name. It's Mason.
But Mator Salad is cuter, just like him.

 And our eldest grandchild, Adrian.

We got our Jack back.  Yea!  Does he look excited?

 The guys went hunting.

And we took a nap. Even though, he wasn't tired.  And was not going to fall asleep.

Then we went bowling with his Aunt Kate and Uncle Chris

Look at that form!

He was loving the jerky Aunt KK brought.

Oh and when we got back home,  Fall was gone :(

And Chris, Lauren and Cocoa came for a visit.
The puppys were helping her get her homework done.

My Dad and I also went to Arkansas.

But that is a whole different blog.
