Cricut

This, as some of you know, is a Cricut machine.
I first saw it at my job at the school.  I had to have one!
Could not get it soon enough.
My mind went wild with wall hangings and other things I could make with it.
Then I got it and it sat.  Sat in the box for over a week.
What if I couldn't get it to work right?
All of those ideas I had had escaped my brain.
What was I going to do with this thing?

After getting all the laundry done, the floors vacuumed, the kitchen clean, there was nothing left for me to do.
Well, there was the bathrooms but there is always tomorrow.  Right?
So, I got it out and started to work.
This was my first attempt. :(

Getting better but waayyyy too big!

Hmmmm. Maybe.

It will work for now.  :)

Wheelin'

So, the weekend before last
Superman and I decided to head north for a day of wheelin' with the Olsen's.
We loaded up the truck and headed out.

One of the first things we saw on the trail was this big hole in the base of this tree.
Rocky refused to go stick his head in and a take a look around. Sheesh!

A little later we stopped and had our picture taken together.  :)

By this stream.

Rocky was looking for gold.

And I saw lots of flowers.
Pink ones.

And white ones.

We stopped and checked out this nice lake that we drove by.

Then we hit the trail and tried to outrun the mosquitos.

Then we stopped in here for a bite to eat.
They had REALLY good burgers.
Or maybe we were just REALLY  hungry.

Then we saw this flash of brightness in the woods.

So we stopped and Superman went and got a piece for me.
He's so nice like that!

And here it is.
God has some nice contrast going on there!

Oh my! Do you think its deep?

Not too bad.

Then we went back to the Olsen's for dinner.
And Rocky grilled......

This delicious bear.

Raquel rode her bike without training wheels.

Preston watched the fire.

And Hailey,  well.... She was just her cute self.

Before After

In our new house we have two bedrooms upstairs. They will both be guest bedrooms.
They both have hideous pink carpet and pink and purple walls. Right now I can't do much about the carpet because we are doing work in other parts of the house. But I was able to do some inexpensive work on one of the bedrooms this week. So, here are a few before and afters.

There ya go. Now on to the next room. :)

SURPRISE!!

SURPRISE!!
So, here I am again. As most of you know, we have moved back to Wisconsin.  Not to "That One Place In Wisconsin".  To another place. But instead of starting a new blog called "That Other Place In Wisconsin"  I am just going to keep on using this one. I have to tell you all, I was less than excited about moving here.  When Superman and I came to the area looking for a place to live my 'Wisconsin is my dream place to live' bubble got popped!  Of course we came at the end of winter and everything here was so blah.  The best way to describe it would be to just imagine seeing everything in black and white. With a little brown here and there.  Yep very blah.  But Spring has Sprung in the area and it is B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L! Here are some photos that I have taken lately.

This is what our house looked like when we bought it.

And this was taken this evening.  See those two windows upstairs?
Aren't they screaming for window boxes?

I found this little nest right by our front porch.

And these were tucked back behind my house.

This was a big grapevine I found growing on the side yard.

These Lilly of the Valley's were on the side of my house and garage.
I was super excited to find them because my grandma has them at her house too.

I found this metal bucket in a pile of weeds
and decided to put it to good use.

This is my back yard.  Up that hill is our house.

I took a walk out in the back and I found one of these. :)

And some of these.  I know they are very common but
they are pretty.

Superman was most excited about this little find in the side yard.

And I have thousands of berry bushes.

And this is the front of our house.  It is minus the bush on the
bottom of this picture.

That is all for now.  More stuff later.
