Things From Missouri

Took a little trip back to Missouri last weekend and let me tell you,  I LOVE Wisconsins summers.  It was sooo hot in Missouri.  But did have a few good things happen when I was there.  Things like a lunch that Chris planned and Dad had to take care of.  Boy did he take care of it too.  He ordered out for fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, and bread.  Plus, he made the best potato salad ever and for desert, Drum roll please,  French Silk Pie.  Have I told you that he is my favorite Dad?
I also got invited over to my baby's apartment for dinner.  Which I ended up cooking.  Weird how that worked out.  It was actually a pretty clean place.  Strange things happens when kids are responsible for their own stuff.
Plus I got to watch my blue eyed boy participate in a relay triathalon.  He did the running part.  I was proud, as was his beautiful wife.  She was so excited I thought she was going to wet herself.  They are such a cute couple! I love them.
So, I brought home a few things with me from the trip and and here are some pictures.

Adrian and a giant Cantelope

A box of canning tomatoes and a few peppers from my Amish friend Esther.
I miss visiting her family.

Some freshly picked sweet corn. Also from Esther.

And last but not least, the beautiful vase on the left.  I eyed it at my Dad's house and he let me have it to place in the kitchen window next to the wine bottle that I bought. Beautiful.
